I am officially l337

Using this mod and a very steady hand. I haven't fried anything and its working just like it should, at maximum resistance I get .5V above what I set in BIOS. Now to see if this Opteron goes further when it gets some power behind it

Don't hold your breath. Yiffys grand theorem is true, these chips are great on stock volts, but from then on up they suck.

Previously the most I could do on the 1.55V max of BIOS was 2.85 stable, and so far I've got the grand total of 2.9 (290x10) stable on 1.66Vcore. This is on air cooling, idling at 29C and loading at 42C. My RAM was 1:1 3-3-3-7 @ 2.85V

I am currently swearing profusely at my monitor as I cannot get it to post at 300x10. I have the Vcore at 1.75 (eek), I have loosened the RAM timings, I have pushed the Vdimm all the way to 3V all to no avail. I post, I see the RAID detection thingymabob then I get a load of gibberish and pretty colours

I tried to run a divider but it won't even post at any divider setting! It just hangs on the post screen but remains fully responsive, I can get into the BIOS and I can get into the boot setup but it won't go any further. At 1:1 I get RAID and then randomness, but with a divider it won't even post

Aww, that sucks bro. So the Opty's don't like a lot of voltage? Is this a widespread issue?

I don't know, but considering it took me nearly a full volt to gain ~500MHz from 2.85 to 2.9 this one doesn't seem too great.

Maybe the RAM is at its ceiling, but I doubt it. Who knows, I might get higher if I figure out why a divider won't work.

294x10 is the most it will boot with, and its running OCCT while I type this on it.

294x10 @ 1.76Vcore
1:1, 3-3-3-7 @ 2.9V and 2T
x3 HTT
Idle: 30C
Load: 46C

1.76vcore is quite a bit man. I wouldnt run it there 24/7 when u can run it just a tad slower with way less voltage, its not worth it. Good job on the voltmod though!

294x10 is OCCT stable, but I didn't want to leave it at that high voltage anyway. I'm settling for 290x10 at 1.66Vcore for now
