I must say, the 4770 may be underrated. It performs quite well for me. I will eventually be splurging on a 5870, but for now, I am more than satisfied with what I have.

The HD4770 has alot more overclocking headroom then the HD4870 and taking into account that he probably bought it for less then £60 it's hands down the best choice for the price bracket, budget or not...
I want to overclock it but apparently VTX use different parts to due reduce costs and i was recommended not to overclock it cause the brand is unknown..
It's under warrenty with the retailer anyway so should i give it a go?
What's a good program to test artifacting? ATI Tool?
The PCB looks like a non-reference 4850..but mods are on the backside of the GPU. Looks like a swell power phase payout..should hold some good clocks and good voltage too. Is that the Voltera IC on the backside I can spot..or another?
*from the looks and the amount of capacitors on the PCB..I would say the card stands a chance to be a real good OC'r.
