W7 installation trouble.

Alright I preordered W7 x64 the system builder's edition for my sig pc. I had a lot of trouble with it, asked on here and still couldn't figure it out. I need the drivers to reformat the partition, so I downloaded all the drivers from foxconn's website for the bloodrage...i mean everything that was for windows 7. When I get to the part where it normally lets you reformat, it says it can't find any "signed drivers." Why is it saying its not finding any signed drivers, it never asked that when I downloaded vista x32 multiple times. Why is it not working now?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You're not making sense. What do you mean you need the drivers to reforamt? You shouldn't need anything to reformat.
To be able to locate the hard drive, it shows up in bios, but not when needing to reformat. Am I not getting the right drivers? When I had to install Vista x32 I got the same drivers that i did this time, except they were for vista not W7. When I installed Vista I would need those drivers or it would not locate the hard drive, so I could reformat the partition.
Oh, your sata drivers?
Yes, I suppose. I'm the not greatest at computers, but enough to get my sig rig going by myself.
Okay, walk me through the steps of what you are doing.

Does the installer think you have a RAID setup due to a setting in the BIOS?

Alright, I have a version of Vista on my sig pc atm. It has no license, so I preordered W7 x64. After trying again, I load the disc and let it boot it up from dvd. I do everything to do a clean install. Then the part where it asks you which hard drive you want to loadW7 on, thats where you load drivers with a flash drive/cd/dvd. I have the mobo drivers on a dvd and usb drive in my pc, but it still says no signed drivers. Do I have the wrong drivers? Even though the vista version of the same drivers worked to install Vista?

Oh, I see what's happening. Don't click on that. I think that's only for when you have a RAID setup. So, do not click "Load Driver".

Not sure, I haven't changed any settings in the bios. And I just installed Vista on this pc last night, but it has no license. And today I finally have the time to just sit down and work this out.

You seem a little confused. What you are trying to do is setup a RAID array with only one hard drive. GO into your bios and reset everything to optimized defaults and make sure your sata controller isn't set to RAID and then reinstall. You can't run RAID with one hard drive.

Just in case my post got buried: I think I know what's happening. I mean, don't click "Load Driver". I think that's only for RAID setups. Just go through that part of the installation without clicking "Load Driver", and then it will go smoothly.

Shouldn't need AHCI/RAID drivers to install Windows 7 on an ICH10R.

This is exactly what I'm saying here. Unfortunately, this installer doesn't say "Only click Load Driver if you have a RAID setup to install".

Aparently my post didn't go through. Anyway, I don't have this in raid. I have had it in IDE since I built it. When I get to that page it asks you to pick a hard drive to partition, mine doesn't show up. It asks for drivers so you can locate the hard drive. When I installed vista, the bloodrage mobo drivers made the partition show up so I could reformat and then install Vista. When I do the same thing, (except with W7 drivers) the drive still does not show up.

Oh, so now the question is Why doesn't the IDE hard drive show up when Windows 7 ask you to select a hard drive?

Yes.

When it didn't show up with Vista, I just got the mobo Vista x32 drivers.

When I try it with W7, the mobo W7 drivers dont work/show the hard drive.

(My hard drive shows up in BIOS, just so you guys know)

I can't help but wonder if it's some kind of setting in the BIOS somewhere that's causing this.

It might be a setting related to RAID. My BIOS came with all of its RAID options enabled, but I disabled them all on the first day I got the board so I don't know if it makes any difference.
