I'm looking for a C2Q cpu. Q6600 G0 or better. 94/95/9650 preferred. I would prefer an oem pull and something that hasn't been fed overclocked voltage for years on end now. I have a lnib EP45-UD3P and some decent ram I've been wanting to toy around with for a while now. Will pay a fair market price. PM me with what you have please. PayPal awaits.....

No dual cores please. Xeon chips that will run on the above board are fine. (if there are any that are compatible with it, honestly I have no idea)

If you can't find one I would call around local IT companies and see if they have any old hardware they're looking to liquidate. Most keep a pretty big backstock of legacy equipment.

You should check out the 771 to 775 mod.. You can find nice ones on ebay for $40-60, the stickers for the mod were like 10 for $6.

I put a E5440 in an old g34 board and a X5460 into an ip35-pro to upgrade/play around with.. Think I spent in total 70$ for the mod stickers and cpu's.

What's nice is that no server cpu's would have been overclocked, and most are really cheap now.

Check that out ! That's pretty cool. I might take a look at doing that if I can find a decent xeon at a good price. It seems this mod may have inflated the prices on ebay a bit, most I see on there are no cheaper than retail cpu's. Thanks for the info though.
