Wasn't sure where to put this

I just got my new rig up and running and I'm looking at my Windows Experience Index. For some reason, I have a 1.0 in graphics and gaming graphics with a HD 4870 1GB. There's a note that says I have new hardware and my index needs to be refreshed, but nothing changes when I refresh it.

Have you installed latest drivers yet?
Reinstall drivers.
Installing the latest drivers was the first thing I did. I'll try reinstalling them.
Have you attempted running any 3d games yet? It is possible that there is a driver conflict somewhere. I had this same issue when I put together my current rig. And after seeing the 1.0 for gaming I attempted to run a few games to see what was going on - most of them crashed almost instantly and hard locked or rebooted my PC.

In the end the resolution came from my having to update a different driver (for me it was a sata driver). After that everything worked just fine...
I installed C&C3 earlier this evening. I haven't attempted to run it yet. I will after I'm finished reinstalling my video card drivers.
And the game wouldn't load. It said I needed to make sure I have DirectX 9 installed. I'm installing DirectX 10 now.
Well, I have DX10 installed and the game still won't run. I get this message:

"Please make sure you have DirectX 9.0 or higher installed. Also verify that your video card meets the minimum requirements, and that you do not have hardware acceleration disabled in the Display control panel."
I just patched the game and now it's running.
My Windows Experience Index is still showing 1.0 for graphics and gaming graphics. Not sure how to fix it. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and it didn't help.
ok....go to your Windows folder and click on Performance folder.......then click on WinSat....then on DataStore......delete all the files in this folder.......rerun your Vista benchmark
Done. The only number than changed was memory from 5.6 to 5.9. Processor and primary hard disk remained at 5.9 and graphics and gaming graphics remained at 1.0.
Now it's at 5.9 all around. I'm not sure what the problem was, but it's fixed now.
