Hi OCN,

I've a Gigabyte Windforce GTX 580 (GV-N580UD-15I). Thinking of going into watercooling after I bought it but not sure if it is a reference design. Has anyone any experience with watercooling this card and what water block did you use?

I tried EK but they replied that they do not have a suitable water block for this card.

Thank in advance for your help.

I do not believe the Windforce is a reference card, so you won't be able to find a full cover block at this time but one may be released eventually. Your best bet now I am guessing would be to get a GPU only block and some ramsinks to cool the VRMs.

Thanks guys. Looks like I've backed myself into a corner here. The Windforce is actually pretty decent and the fans do keep the card quite cool, except in SLI-situations where the proximity of the cards actually drive up the temps drastically. Unless there's enough of a demand for watercooling for this card, since it is a non-reference design, I'm not optimistic that a full block would be issued for it. Fingers crossed though.

hey you could always use a some mosfet blocks to cool the ram on your card its a bit of a pain but it does the job just be sure to get some decent thermal epoxy i also have wind force products (6870 wind force x3) and i know it can be a pain..but lets hope they start cranking out windforce gpu blocks 9how ironic a card designed for aircool gets a gpu block lol:thumb:
