sorry, but the pics and updates are spread through out. the most recent stuff is of course on the latest pages. thanks for looking!

Alright finally decided to go all out and take the water cooling plunge. I'll be updating and showing the whole installation over the course of the next month.

So I'll be using my existing pc and replacing my H70 (which was an ok intro to thinking about water cooling) with an XSPC Rasa RX240 kit. To that I'll be adding an MCR320 for my GTX570's.

Here is my water cooling component list:

XSPC Rasa RX240 kit
Swiftech MCR320-QP-K
EK GeForce 570/580 GTX (EK-FC580 GTX+)
PrimoChill PrimoFlex PRO LRT Tubing 1/2"ID 3/4"OD with 1/8" Wall - UV Blue - Not sure how many feet I need.
Bitspower Black Sparkle G1/4" Barb Fitting - 1/2" ID x 12

As I am new to this please feel free to tell me I'm buying the wrong thing or something wont work. Or most importantly I really need to add something I've overlooked. I really appreciate any suggestions.

As I mentioned this build is going to take place over the course of a month or so. I will be going in stages as I purchase the necessary equipment.

Stage 1: Rasa kit install/painting.
Stage 2: Adding the 320 to the 240 loop till I get the gpu blocks.
Stage 3: Putting the whole loop together (probably finding I did something wrong and giving up

lol)

Here goes!

Ok I have a ton of pictures and will add details to each as I go. Feel free to ask any questions.

First thing was to remove both hard drive cages.

Screws for remounting the small hard drive cage to the bottom of the 5.25" bay cage.

Packages are awesome!

Had to lay everything out just for fun!

CPU block

RX240! It's a monster.
P1010906.jpg

Reservoir/Pump combo, etc.
P1010907.jpg

Cage mounted upside down using the holes in the bottom for the original screws.
P1010908.jpg

PSU in.
P1010909.jpg

Lots of wires to reinstall..again.

Decided to drill holes and mount my ssd's on the back panel side of the 5.25" bays. Sorry for the washed out pictures. Really bright back there.

Mounting the water block. The only thing that actually had directions!

Looks good!

Used two of the screw holes for the small HDD cage to mount the rad to. Not the best but good enough for a rad sitting on the bottom of the case.

Wires

Don't use the e-sata port up top, coil'd the cable up and tucked it away here:

Got everything installed! Looks pretty good so far.
The Rasa kit includes a jumper for the main power cable so you don't have to stick a paper clip in it! I have my fans set up to pull in from the bottom through the rx240. Could probably fit some 12mm slipstreams on the bottom if I need to.
P1010923.jpg

Made a bong since my funnel is so short!
P1010927.jpg

Bottoms up case!

Looks good!

Waiting for leaks.

Done leak testing no problems what so ever!

Getting the wiring there.

Final wiring solution! Took so long waay to many.

Got my rig up and running again after a week without her! No this didn't take a week to do, just one night. But I've had it apart getting it ready.

Painted my case a color shift that is Blue/Purple. Looks really good. Forgot to take pics of the painting process though. Results:

Just to note: the face plate screws on the reservoir keep the door on the Phantom from closing all the way.

Pretty cool color IMO.

All back together! Now what to do with this side...

Nice build, +1.

Good pictures.. i started out strong in my build log and got super lazy... now i just post the updated picture lol, its in my sig.

/edit/ I believe a replacement bolt is available that you can use to mount the res plate and allow door to close, i'll see what i did when i get home.

Also love the monitor stands, mine are 'art of war' books.

Thanks! Yeah I took them all and decided I needed to really get them posted before I never do.

As far as the bolts go I just took them out.

But yeah let me know if you remember.

Can you give me an idea of what barbs/connectors/plugs I will need when I add the 360 rad? I'm sort of overwhelmed when I look on sites at all the options. Should I switch to 1/2" tubing?

Got four yate loons in the mail today and I have to say I'm impressed. They are very bright and move a lot of air. More than what I had in there!
I guess FrozenCpu sells syrup?
P1010968.jpg

Oddly they came in a large zip lock bag?
P1010969.jpg

P1010971.jpg

Like I said extremely bright. I'll be adding 5 or six to the 360 when I do that. Also planning something for the door.

Here are some pics of the small HDD cage mounted upside down. All I did was put it in place and marked it through the holes in the bottom of the 5.25 bays with a sharpie. Then I took out the small cage drilled the holes and mounted it with 6-32x3/8 machine screws and a nut. Would like to find shorter ones actually but this works for now.

Thanks K.3nny! Coming from you that's an honor. Can't wait to get the V-cards under water.

Oh and to all, I forgot to add pics of my OC. I'm currently at 4.9 with 1.42 Vcore.

Finished:

As you can see it's hot, but that's AVX so I'm not worried about 24/7 use.

Thanks! You only hit 70c on IBT with AVX @ 5.0?
