Waterblock for GTX260

I plan on upgrading to a GTX260 soon and I'm wondering if I can use the 200 series adapter for the Fuzion v2 GFX with my Fuzion v1 GFX. Does anyone know if its possible? This is the adapter I'm talking about. http://www.petrastechshop.com/dgfx2nv200se.html If not then I would have to get a v2.

it will not work, sorry
they use different mounting plates.

you should consider the MCW-60R2 and just buy the adapter plate.

I beleive petras has both in stock. Here and here however the adapter is not in stock.

You can also try sidewinders or frozencpu.com

edit: frozen has both in stock.
bring this thread back alive. are there any other suggestions for a waterblock on these cards. i also herd that the full cover blocks do not fit the 55nm version of the gtx260. as of now i need a full solution to cooling my card as i just cant accept the stock setup. so whos got what on their 260 and how well is it working.
Dangerden and Koolance both make blocks for the 260. IMO the koolance is actually the prettier and easier to use block if that's important. It's also cheaper. Dangerden gets my vote for performance though.

(I believe I also saw a heatkiller block from watercool when I was at their site, but I havnt seen any of those in any stores which leads me to believe it must be imported... Id definitely use that though if I had the choice)
I have a full cover block on my 55nm gtx260. It's an EK block It comes with a nickel plated bottom and either delrin or clear top, or copper bottom and clear or delrin (so 4 version).
I got a question: How can I tell what version of a card I have? I know I have a 55nm card but I don't know what version I have (1 or 2). Is there a way to find out without tearing my air cooler off?

Can you see the VRM at all from a side view? You may also be able to tell from checking the backside of the PCB and the solder points.

Look inside the fan hole. Are your capacitors blue or purple? The ver2 cards seem to all have blue caps and in a straight line

Here ya go.....
You can apply this to the 55nm or 65nm versions.

Swiftech MCW60-R2 for $39.99

Swiftech GT200 adaptor plate for MCW60-R2 for $6.99

Thermalright GTX 285/260 VRM heatsinks for $6.99

Total ~ $53.97 + shipping

CrazyPC seems to be the only place to actually keep it and have it instock all the time......

yea i thought about going with the swiftec solution they have the gtx200 heat sink but again im not sure if these will fit my card and im not about to tear it down either to see what version it is.
I use one of these
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/78...tl=g30c311s792

along with a D-Tek FuZion GFX 2 to cool a 260gtx. It works just fine.

Are you certain that the heatsink set will work with the 65nm GTX 260? When it says GTX 285 right next to GTX 260, it'll probably only work for the 55nm variant.

i just got 2 ek blocks in the mail (55nm). but of course i didnt notice they wouldnt fit my 65nm 260s, so i just ordered 2 koolance vid-428s and i hope those work >_< (has a nice backplate too

I'm searching about watercooling a GTX275, and according to the pictures, the GTX275 seems almost the same as the GTX260 55nm v2, so the same blocks should work for both

what could I use to WC the GTX275 paired with a D-Tek FuZion GFX 2???

after giving it some thought. im curious would it be worth using some liquid on these cards. i cant see it getting to much of a gain. ive got a descent overclock with my stock cooling fan and to be honest heat is not the reason for failing to oc further. so if im tapped before heat then whats the point.

for me the main problem is the noise

yea i noticed that the fan can be a little loud at 80% or better but then again it doesnt bother me much since ive got my system hooked up to 4 15inch subs and enough highs to drown out any fan in my system. i was mainly looking for a performance increase
