Yes, after using ceramiuqe on the surface of my brand new AMD 89watt 4400(ccbwe stepping)I remove the clamps to pull waterblock and the block is glued so hard to the top of the chip that it pulls the cpu out of the still clamped socket.
this has happend twice now and I am wondering how many more times I will luck out and not ruin this expensive cpu.
How many times has this happend to others...Scary stuff

Try twisting it side to side gently while trying to lift it...

It isn't that big of a deal. Just expect it to happen and play nice

The same thing happens when u lift the heatsink of an Asus A4L laptop, the cpu always comes along (P4). Done this about a hundred times and never went wrong. If you wonder why, I work as repair engineer at Asus.

Ceramique isn't an adhesive guys...

This can happen with AS5 too. It's just the way it goes sometimes. Take it easy and all will be fine.

Ceramique is not permanent. Any compound can get baked on and cause this to happen.
