well you could get some plumbing antifreeze. The great thing about the plumbing antifreeze is that its non-toxic unlike normal antifreeze. Its also good for down to -50C and i dont think you will go much past -30.

hey man lookin great, i'm still trying to find copper to build my waterblock. where you cut there will be some gaps between the evap lines and the cooler, maybe you could fill that with expandable foam. possibly the fast expanding stuff, this will greatly increase the insulation and you wont lose any heat. BTW what kind of pump are you using because i really need one but i'm not sure what one to get. possibly a link if its on the internet somewhere.

i really dont see teh point in making a cascade water chiller, you have to let all the gas out of the compressor anyway, why not just make a cascade phase change system. and if you do make a cascade water chiller, it would be very hard to find a liquid that didn't freeze at evap temps of around -100C
