Just wondering if anyone knows if a The Koolance VID-AR685 will fit the Gigabyte 6850(non OC) version before I take my card out and pull it apart. Not sure if this card is based on reference design.

Only was to check is either to call Gigabyte and ask, or you can take off the cooler of your current card and compare it to the reference:

Check that the mounting holes are in the same place and that there is no circuitry in the way of the waterblock. May I add that even though my 6850s have reference mounting holes, the PCB is non-reference. You always want to watch out for pesky capacitors and high-standing circuitry!
Watercooling a 6850 isn't the brightest idea.. those cards retail $160 nowadays, and spending another $100 for a cooling solution sounds meh. Personally, I'm going for universal blocks... cheaper, and you can use them on other GPUs!

I did take off the cooler thats on it and it is very close to reference. Holes look to be in the same spots. I ended up getting the RASA Universal Block for both my cards. That way I can sell them down the road and keep the coolers. Just got wait for the memory heatsinks to come out of HongKong before I install. Pretty sad when I can get 2 packs of copper heatsinks shipped from the other side of the world for cheaper than what I can by 4 here in Canada:doh:
