Watercooling - Temperature inversion HELP!

Good day all,

I finaly have my watercooling rig!!
here are some pics far below.
But the question is, my original temps were idle:37, load:68 and the new temps are now idle:28, load:47, which i am VERY happy with. The problem is now my room feels like a sauna. I DONT GET IT! I had fans blowing on my four hardrives and I removed them because they throw too much dust around, but I dont know if the four drives below (2x74gb raptor + 2x1TB Seagate Barracuda) could be causing such a temperature spike. Ambient temps in my room went from around 22C to 28C and the area near my comp feels MUCH hotter. The weird this is I touch the waterblocks and they are not hot, the radiator is very cool and so are the tubes and the reservoir. I dont get it.....

Plz help...

All that heat is being dissapated FROM the system to the AMBIENT air. This is evidenced by the fact that the blocks/rad/lines are cool to the touch.

Instead of having all that 20c difference in heat inside the components/case it's now being pumped out and into the air so I believe this is the answer.

Naw.... the energy output from the PC has not changed that much. The PC probably outputs maybe 30-45w more with the additional pump and fans. Remember that watercooling helps to reduce the thermal resistence, it does not change the thermal output. The 20C difference was due to the original cooling was not moving heat away from the source fast enough. It would not affect the room temperature noticably.

When are you comparing 22C to 28C? It is becoming warmer outside...
Did you just begin Folding or playing games more?

^^^ That
You've accomplished exactly what you wanted! The heat is out of your system! I do think that a 6c jump in ambient temps is a bit extreme though. Does your room have any ventilation??
The watercooling is extracting heat from your system and putting it into your room much more efficiently now, therefore over a little time your computer room will be cooking - especially if it is a smaller room. I used to have the exact same problem, with both of my computers up and running it would heat up my small office to 90F even with my AC going full blast.

No ventillation WHATSOEVER. the room is kinda boxed in and since its winter i usually keep the window closed. If i open the window, it cools down rapidly, and it fixes the problem, but during the summer, I will be able to cook an egg just by walking it into the room...

Also, i used to run my quad at 2.7ghz on air, now with water im running it at 3.0-3.2ghz, which adds to the heat...

I guess it makes sense, I just wasnt ready for it nor did I expect it. All in all, I like this situation better. my B3 doesnt OC that well but at least I can easily run a stable 3.6ghz with reasonnable cpu temps and voltage...

thnx for the help, rep all around....
If you're going to have that loop running in the summer with temps over 28c, keep an eye on things as it gets warmer. Your loop is going to be less efficient and it could have a big impact on your OC. Just be vigilant of your temps...
will do, thanks for the help.
Its preety cool but all my cooling components (exept tubes) are from swiftech....
