Ok so i got a new Vantec stingray WC kit Paid $50 for it brand new. But alot of you have said it is Junk. Here is the kit. http://www.vantecusa.com/front/product/view_detail/91
So i am looking at buying a Koolance CPU-340 water block. the pump the kit has flows 700lph and works very well the res is a little small but im adding a 2nd rad so i think it will be enough. This RAD i moded last night What do u think? Oh yea im only going to be cooling the cpu for now unless i can find 3 9800GTX+ waterblocks that are not $90ea. So is this a good or bad idea?

Any tips or advice?

First: you should mod the rust off of it.

Kidding aside, have you ran the loop outside of your rig to ensure that rad is clean on the inside? Secondly, you should put a shroud on there.

yes its clean this is part of a WC setup i made Before to test.
I'd paint it black and Free bump for a good item.

Granted it's steel obviously on the outside, but is there anything aluminum inside? Just wanted to throw that in there to double check.
It is a solid copper heatercore with 2 steel side brackets.

what size fans are those? maybe you can get a single larger fan and eliminate 3 of the 4 dead spots caused by the fan hubs. would also make it more quieter

seriously tho, dont get the Koolance CPU-340 water block, get this instead-
I think its on sale if you hurry

This, or make/buy a shroud.

The fans are 80MM fans on the rad. i have tryed a 120mm on front and back. But the 80mms seem to have the most airflow.
