EDIT 2: Now the problem has gone away entirely and I'm facing a new problem. It says that my SSD isn't a valid boot device.

EDIT: Now it does the cycle once or twice, then boots as normal but after getting past the BIOS screen I get no signal. What's going on?

I put my GTX 970 in my desktop to replace a 7970 a little while ago. It ran fine but whenever the 970 was in it would stay on the motherboard BIOS screen for about a minute before continuing the boot (switching back to integrated graphics made it boot like normal). It also wouldn't allow me to go into the BIOS or anything, it would just stay frozen until it started booting.

Now today, I wanted to get into the BIOS to change some fan settings so I removed my GTX 970 and put the HDMI cable into the integrated graphics output.

Now, whenever I press the power button, my PC just turns on for a few seconds then turns off for a few seconds, then repeats this cycle continuously.

My system is as follows (everything @ stock):

i7 3770k
ZOTAC GeForce GTX 970 AMP! Extreme Edition
16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHZ
Gigabyte Z77X-UP4 TH
