its a good budget pc but im planning on overclocking as much as i can with stock cooling. I also bought a fan for my old computer im gonne put in. It looks like a rounded piece of plastic that is attached to the back of the case and it has this spinning thing in the middle. Called a system blower but i might get a better heatsink/fan. I heard though that the heatsink that comes with the proc is pretty big for the mobo.

Anybody heard of this

yeah, get a diferent mobo, i say go with the dfi lanparty ultra-d and mod it to sli if you get another 6800 =], i already modded mine, even though i only have one gt =P (hard to get another) also the dfi board have a very nice forum ( www.dfi-street.com ) where you can tke any of you questions... and last but not least they are very cool running mobos and they have very nice bios MADE for overclocking..thats my suggestion =] -trey

Great board, just be sure you read the manual to learn what you have to do to actually unlock the tweaking features (ctrl + f1)

i can get this 3200+ (2ghz) to 2.7ghz stable, with nothing more then droping the divider and bumping the fsb & vcore by 0.15v... but i need a better cooler then the stock heatsink...

gigabyte really has an undeserved "bad for overclocking" rep from people that don't read the manual...

but i'd get a 7800gt cheapest (not counting the jaton) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130256 289...

best bang for the buck, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130249 314

it's a little more now, but the 7800gt is so much more card for the money, not to mention cooler and lower power draw
