So, I picked up a 1TB "Mac Edition" external hard drive from Best Buy for $60....

Being that it's a Mac edition, I decided the hell with it... tried it on Windows.

I'm able to initialize the disc, and partition it through disc management... But when I try to access the disc, it gives me a "X:\\ is not accessable, the parameter is incorrect" error.

Any ideas on how to hack this thing to work on windows? I figured being as large as it is, $60 is a steal... If push comes to shove, I'll yank the HDD out and put it into another enclosure.

You need to reformat it into NTFS. It's in the mac format (I forget what that is)

That's what I'm doing now
I didn't realize it was still in the 'formatting' phase when I tried accessing it...
