I had gotten my rig up to 4.05 but hat to run the mem voltage up to 1.84 to do so and was still having stability issues. Looked at drive strength. Everything that was 1.5 I upped to 2. Everything that was 1.25 I upped to 1.5. Everything that was 1 I went to 1.25. Solid as a rock now. Mem voltage is back to 1.74 and it as stable as it's ever been.

Reason for the post is, that it works, is all I know about drive strength at this point. Can anybody provide some insight?

I am not familiar with settings on an AMD board, but in dealing with drive strength on intel boards, mainly memory related, drive strength had to do with signal quality. When running high frequencies, signal degradation would occur, causing loss of signal, sync issues, etc. Increasing the signal resulted in better stability, but increasing it too much could still throw it out of sync. This is what I gathered from reading about such settings in the past.

I would assume the settings you are talking about work in much the same way.

That's what happened here. Stability increased. Allowed lower voltage. The only thing I didn't change was the last setting which was a resistance setting (in ohms). Default was 60, the lowest number.
