You're right. I'm just used to looking at nVidia cards made the by manufacturers you named and thought most of them had lifetime warranties or better.

People who upgrade often. It makes it much easier to sell the card at a higher price and the buyer of the used card gets a full lifetime warranty also.

Well the person inquiring about the warranty is most likely to keep the card for a long time

Lifetime warranty is a gimmick TBH. I'm not going to RMA this 4890 in 38 years.

Diamond has a two year warranty if registered, or a one year limited warranty if not registered within 30 days of purchase

Warranties on these types of items are pointless IMO. The chances of anyone, including the OP owning this card for longer than 5 years is slim. And if they do, the money saved from not buying the more expensive card (warranty) would outweigh the cost of an equal card in 5 years.

It's nice to know that in like 6-8 years, when it's obsolete, you can RMA it for a better card

The average time one uses a card is probably <6 years, so 5+ years warranty is pretty much what you'll ever need.

I like that XFX has a transferrable warranty: that's what makes it so great in my eyes.

Visiontek and XFX are the only one's I believe....the rest offer 2-3 year warranties.
