My first Intel/Ati system (i've owned for 3 years)<br>
Intel 600 mhz -> intel 2.6 ghz (p4) -> intel 3.0ghz (p4)<br>
ATI x300 -> ATI 9550 -> ATI x800<br>
Mobo: Intel -> Msi<br><br>
My second system<br>
AMD 3800 (am2)[died from bad cooling] -> 4200 (am2) [thought it died, but my ram died instead] -> 4600 (am2)<br>
ECS -> msi -> ASUS<br><br><br>
CPU: AMD.<br>
GPU: Nvidia.. but if i have the money, i buy the 1950 xtx and put ATI

If you don't care about brands and just want performance, get a Conroe. If theres a certain other brand you like, then get a CPU from that company.

I prefer AMD and nVidia, but I'm perfectly willing to go over to Intel and ATI if they offer better performance : price ratio.

Please remember that anything anyone says in this thread is THEIR OWN PERSONAL OPINION and should NOT be taken to mean that the brand you like is bad, or that they are stupid <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Thumb"><br><br>
Anyway, I personaly like Intel CPUs (I duno, just somthing about them... :rolleyes). As for video cards, I dont have much of a preferance. What ever give me the most performance for the lowest price with the highest image quality <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/wink.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink">

for cpu i dont care at all whoever has price and speeds<br><br>
GPU is different, for some reason i am a NVIDIA fan boy <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Big Grin">

I prefer AMD, and ATI. But, like stated above....I will pretty much go with anything thats better for my dollar.<br />

Thats why I have a 6800GS :>

I prefer Intel and Nvidia for some reason. Intel because I like conroe and Nvidia because they seem to offer the better bang for the buck.
