Previously it was simply run under Windows Domain services on windows servers from Win NT 4.0 or before. It had a lot less features, just login, roaming desktops and access control. When AD came with win 2k, it was a revelation.
What did microsoft use before Active Directory came out?
Doing a little homework and wondered what was used before Active Directory....I cant seem to find anything
