Should I buy a 680 right now or wait for the 700-series?

I'm using the iGPU right now since I have no card, I will be playing on a 1440p monitor?

How much better is the 700-series rumored to be?

Isn't it supposed to be like $900? I can only afford up to $500.

My bad, I miss your point...and yes you can buy a 680 right now...700 series is release at Q3 2013...so you will wait a bit longer...
So the 700-series, the part of that series where the one that is supposed to take over the 680 will be released on Q3? Meaning it will be around September - November?

Maybe December, IMO.
Sounds really far away, that's why I upgraded to a 3570k instead of waiting for Haswell...

So what do you think? Should I just jump on the $400 680 or no?

IMO, If you must hurry, Yes buy it now...since you probably can sell your card before the 7xx series came out (around September - December)

Well,I would go for the 680, I would not give the money with which I could build a strong rig for 1 piece of hardware alone. That's just me though, your money, your decision my friend. Besides, you can sell it later. Cheers.

I will probably not be selling it since it is only 15% in performance increase. I do not play too much games on the PC anyways, I just want it to complete my build and be able to play the games I want! Also, I always buy GPUs after 2 years with the current GPU, it has been 3 years since I have had my GPU so it is time for me to upgrade! I don't mind being left back in the 600-series because I know a lot of people are even still using the 400-series!

I've been using a 5770 for the last 3 years. Imagine that, it was the cheapest GPU that was decent at its time! I loved it and it has served me well the past years! I just need a new one since I want to upgrade and the fact that it blew up when my PSU blew up.
