this was my first comp i built and these are the specs:
nzxt lexa with 500 watt psu
asus a8n-sli mother board
amd x2 3800 dual core
2GB of Corsair xms series cas lat(2.5-3-3-6)
Evga 6800 GS series 256MB PCI-E clock 1.1ghz
western digital 250GB sata 2
asus dual layer drive via ide
stock cooler for now.
all for about 1250$.

not bad, but I would have bought a case without a power supply...
You want to have a quality psu for your system. Especially if you are overclocking.
I think I could have got you a quicker system for less money..

The psu works great i looked at a lot of reviews and the psu was top notch for a bundle with a case having 24pin main connector sata power fdd power and those video power cords the came out with forgot name of them and
Regular 4pin the case was dam expensive; but it was worth it.

yea it was 165 for the case and psu\\
yea i bought corsair 2GB ddr it was 240 with 40 rebate
it was a expensive but its worth it with low cas lat of(2.5-3-3-6)
