Apparantley the Abit AA8 3rd Eye is quite a good LGA775 board...

Although I would say its probabley a hard board to get a high FSB on because of the PCI-E not locking and you have to find a FSB that resets the PCI-E clock back to default... Apparantley 240MHz FSB makes the PCI-E default back to stock so it will be rock solid.

Anyways Im going to leave the Intel section before I get rotten tomatoes thrown at me.

I would also like to know. I have a 3.4ghz, with 1gig corsair ddr2, and intel 915pbl motherboard coming. I won it on ebay for $550 I plan on selling the intel board and getting a good one for overclocking. I would also like to know you opinion on the best fans. I am guessing the thermoltake. I really need some help. this is a first time building a computer and I have never heard about overclocking until 2 weeks ago!

Unless your going to buy DDR2-667, I don't suggest getting DDR2.
