Did you reset the CMOS before flashing the BIOS? Are you getting any errors?

I have never heard of uCode in the BIOS. I googled it and found nothing on it other than it can be a source of errors.
I have only ever used the 1401 and 1701 BIOS'.
There are quite a few members who have this board. You may want to post about this here - http://www.overclock.net/amd-motherb...-sli-club.html
the uCode is referring to CPU Microcode, which identifies what CPU you currently have. Each model has different uCode. Its like uTorrent, the u means micro, not 'u'.

You say that it is only for identification and has nothing to do with some functionality ? I mention that because in previous BIOS version there wasn't smth like that. when I updated to 2101 it added this info

try updating the BIOS and you'll get this uCode . It is displayed only to version 2101

May be an effort on behalf of Asus to respect AMD's requests to disable unlocking of the dormant core on the PII 7xx series CPU's. Just a guess though.
Its just for info purposes.
