what linux distribution to choose

i've installed Ubuntu 8.10 64bits few hours ago and its good enough for me im not an expert in Unix based systems but the problem is that skype isnt compatible with this particular ubuntu version.. so im open to suggestions for another distro
i was thinking Fedora or OpenSUSE thanks in advance

You have to install ia32-libs and probably a couple of other things for Skype on 64-bit Ubuntu. It should pick up everything you need if you sudo apt-get install skype .

thanks for the advices both of you.. ive tried wine and it didnt work.. but im pretty sure that is my mistake.. like i said im new to linux

thanks to error10 i reinstalled ia32-libs and now its working reps for all
