What program?

I want to format my 250gb hd, which has everything on it.

-Is there a program that will let me easily cherry pick what programs/files I want and put them onto my 400 gb hd? Then, when I get my os installed again, I can just pop a game in and it will automatically run the game off the 400gb?

I would manually select the files and stuff to backup.

Moving programs to another system won't work, seeing as many are registered to the pc.
Programs such as photoshop, steam, etc. cannot simply be copied and ran off another hard drive, you may have to activate them again.
