I have three Scythe Gentle Typhoon and I wanna install it on my rad but the screws are too short.

they are usually 6-32 threads.
Just go to a hardware store with the rad and fan and ask some one to point you to the 6-32 thread machine screws. They should have a ton of different lengths and then find one that works for you.

1 1/4" should be good - 1 1/8" would be better. I'd use a washer or two with the 1 1/4" screws to avoid any potential punctures.

They're quiet for their speed - "too loud" is subjective.

I don't think anybody said that. Either will work fine, and a fan controller is always an option for more flexibility.

My ap-15's are quieter than my slipstream 1400rpm. I can barely hear them. Defiantly better on rads than the ap-14. Hard to find right now though.
