Currently using CF5770s but they aren't making me too happy with eyefinity. Just looking for suggestions as to what I should get. I'm looking for a SINGLE card that will increase performance then to CF
Also if anybody could link me to some comparisons between 5770CF vs newer cards I would appreciate it I'm having trouble finding them.

duh edited.. forgot I can only do eyefinity with ati X_X

that chart does not show any new cards, i.e AMD/ATI 6xxx series

my opinion, two 6870's in crossfire are brilliant, they scale litterally 100%, so if say on metro with single 6870 you get 30fps with 6870 in crossfire it will be 55-60fps

depending on budget though and taking into account you want eyefinity, then 69xx will be a good choice, with having 2gb of GDDR5 it helps alot when using an eyefinity setup

Compare crysis between the 2 cards

Yeah I'm looking into moving on to 6xxx series. I'm curious how 5770CF is vs. a single 6870 though because I learned my lesson about going crossfire then having no room to advance. I'll consider 6950/70 but only if I'm going to notice a decent improvement. I'm hoping jumping to 256bit cards will help me.. especially in the AA department these cards are bad with it.

if you compare the two charts a single 6870 is better than 5770's in crossfire in crysis so a single 6950/6970 would be even more of an improvement

Thanks Adam, I didn't realize the 69xx cards were so affordable. I see I can probably round up ~$200 if i sell my cards on this site so a 6950 for sure if it'll boost my performance and leave me headroom to upgrade again.

I take it the 6970 is an overclocked version of 6950 (same exact card??)

woah where do I sign up? Does this work all the time? I don't want to flash the bios on a graphics card and get stuck with no card at all

from what i know it has a 100% success rate, have to ask other 6950 users who have done this, everyone i know who has tried it with a sapphire 6950 has succeeded though

hey a little off topic here but just curious, I put some scythe heatsinks on the exposed Vram of one of my 5770s because it was crashing alot (solved the problem). Just wondering how much of a hit i'm going to take if I try to sell it here / will it still sell. I'm guessing they would come off but not sure.

Man the camera really brings out the dust I need new glasses haha. Guess cans of air don't cut it. those 4 heatsinks up top are all I put on just using the adhesive that came attatched to them. Only on one of the two cards.

The card with the heatsinks was purchased in february and the second around april or may. They've sat safely in my Haf since and honestly haven't seen too much use short of the 40 hours I put into fallout 3 I ended up having a hectic year away from my puter.
