what steppings?

Ok so I am building a new computer. And I don't know what stepping is the best for oc'ing. The CPU in question is/are the q9550 and q9650.

Stepping E0.

EDIT: SLB8V for Q9550 and SLB8W for Q9650.

So if I buy one off newegg what could I expect?

The only stepping for q9650 is E0, and your chance of getting an E0 9550 from newegg is like 99.99%

Really? I thought it was rare now to get E0 for the Q9550? heck i might buy one then if thats true.

You get an E0 or maybe a C1, but there's nothing wrong with the C1 anyway.

Newegg got rid of most of their C1 chips by november, so you're extremely likely to get an E0.
