He'll probably get the point across easily by remaining level headed.

OK u paid how much for it? call them and be mad but not like take a gun and shoot everyone mad and they will more than likely refund u or send out another for free unless they say they think u took it and just want another one...:swearing:

That's the last thing you want to do. It's hardly the fault of the anonymous person on the phone.

If you're a idiot to them, they are unlikely to want to help you.

So what now just call and be smart and serious?
yeah just call newegg and complain about it... was it OEM by chance? if so make sure u go through the package carefully... you could have missed it... and if newegg refuses to do anything, contact AMD directly... it could have been a packaging error...
Just call them and tell them what happened. Don't act arrogant or yell at them, just simply tell them. Newegg has excellent customer service so they should easily understand.
Was it open box?
I seriously loled at this. Sorry to hear that mate. Hope it works out.

Man I think i got the worst luck ever

Ouch... not even the heatsink in the box?

Thats weird.
Take it from me, I actually do get those angry calls from time to time. I am much more willing to help somebody if they are calm and collected. The only thing I want to do for yelling people is tell them they are an idiot and hang up the phone or tell them to leave the desk immediately (sadly, I can't do that).

Just call them and calmly tell them what happened.

Good luck getting a replacement! The story sounds awfully fishy from the perspective of the person you are calling. Expect to get handed around a bit.
I don't know how AMDs are packaged, but intels coem in a see through plastic box thing, that is sealed and breaks when you pull both sides apart... if yours came like that and you don't/didn't pull it apart and can prove its still factory sealed AMD should replace it no question...

So it was a retail cpu you ordered ?
Did the box still have the seals intact ?
Are the seals now broken, since you open the box to find it was empty ?

If the box and seals are still intact , then you will have all the proof you will need.
