What to do after 1600fsb?

718 Views 10 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  Carlitos714
Well for right now I am stressing my Q9550 at 3.4ghz. The Bus speeds at 1600fsb which I know is the wall for my motherboard. If I go beyond 1600fsb what do I risk? Anything I need to know?

Also if you can look at my temps, 58 (1) 53 (2) 52(3) 53 (4)

Thanks OCN

More heat, just make sure the Northbridge is well cooled.

The memory is not a limiting factor as it should be, in thory, running at 800MHz.

Those temps seem pretty good, are they load or idle temps?

load temps. I need some new ram sticks. For speed and for memory. Alright What else will need to be done after 1600fsb?

The UD3R motherboard can push quads past 530 FSB (2120 QDR). So 400 FSB (1600 QDR) is far from its limit.

Check out the EP45-UD3P (the R OCs the same, but only has 1 PCI-E slot).

I've seen a lot of 24/7 OCs ~515 FSB with quads.
