Hey guys, Ive just managed to get 3.8Ghz stable @ 1.4625v, load is 58c. I was wondering, what should I set my HTT speed and my NB frequencies to?

Im 2h stable on Small FFT's Prime95. Going to go for longer but I wanted to tweak these because ive heard you can get more performance with these upped?

Here are my current settings:

Bios Settings

VDDA Voltage: Auto
CPU NB Multiplier: 12x
Memory Voltage: 2.200v
CPU NB Voltage: 1.4000v
NF200 Chip Voltage: 1.24v
CPU Voltage: 1.4625v
1.2V HT Voltage: Auto
CPU Multiplier: 19x
NB Chip Voltage: 1.30v
CPU Frequency: 200Mhz

K8<->NB Speed: 1.8Ghz (Posted them all in case someone needed settings for their own OC)

Keep HT over 1600 at least and your NB should be fine.

My HT is 2144
NB is 2412

Runs fine !!!

i thought it was best to not let it go above 800?

the 940 is only limited to a max 1800mhz HT - aka 3.6ghz duallink mode, so anywhere from 1300-1800mhz, you won't see any performance drops and HT link doesnt even improves performance if any. NB tho, at 2.4ghz, is very good for your chip.

I dont know if this would be relevant since you have the quad core, but my x3 720 is running 2200MHz HT, 2860MHz NB with a 3.74GHz core, all stable.
I booted windows and everything with a 3000MHz NB @ 3.70GHz core but I didn't test it for stability.

I would try one more step up on the NB multiplier just to see if its stable. Couldn't hurt... and your L3 cache will be faster.

I was able to hit 3.0ghz on the nb also. It was not stable.

Boost up the NB as much as you can.

It nets massive performance gains.

Im on 2.6ghz NB at the moment and ive managed to overclock my ram to [email protected] 6-6-6 for now. Im going to prime it up now and see how it goes.

Thanks man, im pretty impressed that 3.8 is stable at these low volts. I would push for higher clocks but my load temps @ 1.4625 is about 58-59, too close to the rated max temps.

Ill report back on how the stability test goes!
