hi all,

I have a bit of a delema, I currently have 2 gigs for ddr2 installed, 2x1gb.

I want to upgrade to 4 gb but if i get another 2gb that means i will have the 4 slots used up and will lose dual channel and also wont be able to run 1t mode,

would I lose performance if I add another 2 gb in this way?

might be better to bin the current ram and just get 2x2gb ram and keep it in 1t mode I think

i dont know too much on the subject, but i also just bought another 2x1gb set, upping to 4x1gb total.

i could be wrong, but i would think the trade-off for upgrading to 4gb from 2gb, as well as more stablility at higher oc would be a good tradeoff for the slight performance loss of 1t of 2t. but again i dont really know, just speculation.
