I've been dual booting Windows XP & Windows 7 for some time now. I use Windows 7 for all DirectX 10 & 11 games and Windows XP for everything else. I do this because Windows 7 doesn't support EAX.
So, I went out and bought a Sound Blaster Xi-Fi Go Pro! only to find that while it supports the latest EAX there are literally no drivers on the manufacturer's site for it and doesn't seem to be support by Creative's EAX emulator.
However, I just found out about ASUS' Xonar line which supposedly supports EAX in Windows 7- the problem is now does it support all FIVE versions of EAX. From what I can gather it emulates EAX 5 and EAX 1 & 2 are supported by every card on the market. That leaves EAX 3 & 4 and I'm wondering if anyone knows the story on this or could point me to where I could find a better answer. Thanks.
