Long story in short. I am helping my friend replace a board. Due to budget, I may pick the board below. He has a set of ddr 1066 ram, what will happen if I plug the ddr2 1066 ram on it? Does it support DDR2 1066, or boot and allow me to change on BIOS or something else? I would like to know before I get it. Thanks.

The way memory works is, it's not set to what it's rated at right out of the box. Your board is going to read from the SPD profiles, which is going to be slow memory with loose timings. This ensures it will work in the majority of motherboards. So who knows what it will POST at, but it's going to POST. 1066 RAM should work fine with a little tweaking if need be. And I'm sure you can OC with the board, just don't expect a ton of options in the bios like you would on a high end board.
