Hi, pretend you were given $300 to buy an AMD CPU and Mobo. What would you get?

The 790FX combo is only $6~ more. (and it has a $34 MIR you can use)

Depends on what you're doing.

For multitasking I'd get the Quad. But for games and such, the X3's really shine.

Personally, I'd go with an X3 720BE and a DFI Lanparty DK 790FXB M2RSH.

That is, if you're sticking with DDR2. Otherwise I'd get either the Gigabyte MA790FXT-UD5P or the MSI 790FX GD70.
