You read the title.

If you were the one responsible for naming a Processor and it's Core, what would you name it

For Example: Pentium 5 770 5.8Ghz "Tejas"
or: Pentium X2 IE80 4.4Ghz "Mastritas"

You get the drift

What would you name a processor including the core name anbd company name.

If i got the chance, i think i would call tiu sometihng like this...

Company Name: ESTech (Excelled System Technologies)

Processor Family: Abion (Pronounced "A-B-On")

Processor Series: X2 (depending on the advancements, later series will be like X3, X4)

Processor Name or Number: IE420 (4.2Ghz), IE 440 (4.4Ghz), IE 460 (4.6Ghz)

Core: Bellion (Pronounced "Bell-E-On")

Thats what i'd call my company and processors if i had a CPU company that made processor.

Anyone else with some of there own names that they'd call there company and stuff

Company: Jantron
Core: Compress
Family: Intichium (In-tick-e-um)
Series: High Performance - SDP0, SDP1, SDP2 (3GHz, 4, and 5)
Mid Level - O1K, O2K, O3K (2 GHz, 2.5GHz, 3GHz)
Celerylike - P0C, P1C, P2C (1GHz, 2GHz, 3GHz)

Motherboards - Socket G/1000 (1000 pins)

SDP chips have 2MB L2 and L3
OxK chips have 1MB L2 and 512 L3
PxC chips have 512 L2 and no L3

All chips have double multipliers (11x11xFSB,etc.) just cause it looks cool.

QDR(Quad Data Rate) ram will have to be used in Quad-Channel

All these processors are quad cored, and must be run with 3 other of the same processors to achieve highest quality.

My Theoretical Processor

Hyperion 5000 CPU (Alpha Core)
5000mhz Core Speed
1ghz FSB
512k L1 Cache
2048KB L2 Cache
Multiplier Settings 6.0 to 20.0

Future upgrades would change the Core Designation Number (5000, 5100, etc etc)

Actual Ciruitry Upgrades would Change the Core Codename (Alpha, Beta, Charlie, Delta, Echo, etc etc)

All chips would be multiplier unlocked. (for you overclocking psychos)

The Hyperion is the Brand Name

Hyperion 5000 CPU - Desktop Processor
Hyperion 5000M CPU - Mobile Processor
Hyperion 5000X CPU - For SMP systems

I'm not very creative when it comes to this stuff, so I'd probably dedicate cores and model names to you guys and use your user names
