I'm pretty sure born 1997 would put you at 10 or 11 when this thread was started.

☺ I wish we had internet when I was your age. I'm starting my son pretty early at 6 with tech experience. Great to have you here!

Thank you! I started using computers at a similar age but I only started building them at around age 10. My knowledge of computers has come a long way since then

55 here (as in 1955). First computer was a Commodore 64, and started learning code (basic) on a TRS-80. Moved on to assembly language after that, with my first app being a stop light program. Spent 20 years in the Air Force, retiring from that in '92, after which I went to work as an integration tech/field service engineer for a private engineering firm that built miicrowave RF-Digital EW simulators using a mix of DEC (Vax/Alpha) , Intel (Radisys), and Motorola 68020 processors.

I keep myself busy today coding sites, maintaining LAMP servers, and tinkering around with my own computer builds:

PSU cover, currently being fabricated.

I will take a Grannies Omelet from Denny's with your senior discount. My buyer told me no more and I'm only 49 so I can't get into the club yet.

Chuckle... Grannies, eh? Haven't been to Denny's since I left Cali in '92, but I used to enjoy scarfing down iHOP omelets. Back in the day you could feed a family of eight with a single order. Unfortunately though, like an old Pentium, the bodily processes have slowed down so much that one risks clogged tubes partaking in such gluttony. Somthing about too much nickel flaking, or something like that.

When I made up the username I wasn't thinking of any of those, just sounded good.

By the mighty river Thames in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and eighty-six it was, on a cold and windswept night 'neath a starless city sky.

So, 1986.
