I want to reach 4.0ghz on my 920 with C0 stepping. What heat sink would allow me to reach 4.0ghz? I'm on a fairly tight budget so cheaper is better

C0... be advised, they get quite hot and power hungry at 4.0.

What's the difference between c0 and d0? I have d0 and am running at 4.3 Ghz.

Oh, and running an h50. Pretty good cooling if you ask me.

You must be extremely extremely lucky to hit 4.0Ghz on air with a C0. Your best change is the Thermalright silver arrow sb-e extreme but even it is probably not enough even if you disable HT to decrees heat.

C0 is an older stepping and generally needs a good deal more vcore then a D0. Where a D0 can hit 4.0Ghz with something in the 1.25-1.40V range while the C0 usually sits in the 1.30-1.50V range or might not run at 4.0Ghz at all.

I hit 4.0 on a C0 under a CoolerMaster v6gt, cant remember my temps but i'm sure they were comfortable(ish)

Most of the big twin towers and single towers like Archon SB-E and True Spirit 140 are in same 3-4c range.

Getting 3.5-3.8GHz is pretty normal. 4.0GHz is silicone lottery land

Honestly, I would rather get an Hyper 212 Evo which is 2x cheaper than the H50 and has a better fan.

Having an H50 and now knowing WAY more I would say If you do go with an AIO system they don't pull ahead until about the $100 mark.
Define budget and what are you using now?

IMO the cheapest watercooling unit that is worth considering is the Cooler Master Seidon 120M, but yeah it still has poor value compared to aircoolers.
