What's a good Tablet?

I haven't had time to research Tablets, so if someone is kind enough to explain to me some good tablets.

It needs to be fast for a Tablet and within 800-1200$. This will be used for school, I'm not getting a macbook, I can see myself using a tablet more effectively with me being able to store notes and viewing them with a click.

I'd want SSD as well because of it's speed, also around 4gb of ram to run 64bit. Finally, a tablet that can run Windows 7 flawlessly, planning on getting it when it comes out.

this is without a solid state drive. I can customize one at lenovo that has a 64gb one but it has a slower processor and costs 400$ more.

here's an asus:

I think he means a tablet notebook, yea? Asking for alot from a device that generally cost more then equally spec'd normal notebooks. All I know if fujitsu has been making tablets for a long time and they're good at it, but they aren't by any standard "fast". The only option, unfortunately, for you is maybe a hp.
i'm bummed that the tablet pcs are around 1500$.. was hoping to find a decent one around 1000-1200$
anyone have tips for shopping for a tablet?

Actually I believe Lenovo is clearing out their x61t's starting for about $800 US. In my opinion I think it's slightly better quality than an hp. Check it out here

so I'm customizing from 3 places, HP, Lenovo, and going to try Fujitsu in a second. Any recommendations?

edit:
what's the difference between:
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo L7500 LV (1.6GHz, 4MB L2, 800MHz FSB)
&
AMD Turion(TM) X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor ZM-86 (2.4 GHz)

Fujitsu is way too expensive.. any other companies make Tablet PCs?

Should I really shoot for a solid state drive?

L7500 is a low voltage cpu, which supposedly means it uses less power. I personally recommend getting a lenovo or a fujitsu. The lenovo would be lighter and would be easier to carry around between classes (I have an x61t so I know), while from what I've seen of the fujitsu (my friend has one) you can swap out the cd drive for another battery. His fujitsu also seems to have the option of swiveling the screen in both directions. That same friend also had an hp which was nothing but problems for him (overheating issues, bad battery life, etc.) so he returned it and got the fujitsu he has now.
