OCZ is supposed to be coming out with one soon for around the $300 price range. Other than that im not sure what $250 can get you in the world of phase....

hmmm i doubt a second hand would be that cheap either

you should look at a tec/water set up , in your price range and still great performance

tec could get you subzero maybe idle, probably not load though.
What about a chiller box ?

why do you want subzero temps anyway, just makes more upkeep

Most KACAEs don't respond to voltage that well. If you had $300 + shipping I could link you up with a guy that does custom builds. They are really basic and don't have a controller though.

A controller is a chip onboard the phase unit that usually just performs some safety precautions and sends data to be displayed on the LCD. Vapochill/Prommys all come with controllers.

A E6300 would still be faster than your cpu overclocked to 4.5ghz i think. My friend has his 3.2ghz HT pentium 4 overclocked to 4ghz with the standard heatsink and fan and its still cool enough.

I didn't know you could get a 6300, a decent amount/brand RAM, and a decent MB for $250-300...

you could build a chiller for that amount if you want to, it may not look to great but you would get subzero load temps
