What's the right way to install Gears Of War on my PC?

So I reformated my hard drives and reinstaled everything, after a few problems with it. Now I think I can install GOW but, as you know, this game has a lot of issues and if you amke a mistake... you're screwed.

So I was wondering, what's the right way to install this game, to make sure it will run smooth?

What do you mean problems/make a mistake and you're screwed?
I've never had problems with installing nor playing the game.

Insane game...

Yup, this game either crashed in one of the maps, and when trying to fix it... it wouldn't install because of problems with the registry, etc...

Problem after problem...

I gave up with it, but I want to give it another chance. This is Why I ask.

It is better on the 360 >.>
Close out of everything else that is running, then run the installer and install.
I had a heck of a time getting Gears to install on my system as well. Turned out that once I turned off my Comodo firewall, it installed right away and I didn't have a probelm after that. Perhaps you have a similar issue as I did?

Didn't they add content for the PC version that the 360 version didn't have? Gears was a fun game, a bit on the short side, but fun.
Install normally, then you have to install the patch, or the game won't lanuch. Then it should work fine.
