What's the deal with the huge drops in performance on the RAID 0 array...the the drops in the single 80GB?

I'm debating whether a reformat would be in order for the 80GB. 640GB are the WD AAKS drives.

Shouldn't be. I'm doing a clean install of Vista on the 80GB drive and will run benchies right after it's done (testing performance now).

Sorry, got distracted with friends. Here's a bench of the 80GB boot drive after a fresh install of Vista.

Somethings up with that drive, thats horrible readings.

I would attempt a RMA if it was a spare drive you have lying around.

Look up the manufacturers specs on the drive, if its not performing to the specification than I would say that makes it qualify for a RMA because it isn't performing as advertised.

Every drive you can buy has a specification list of average response times, read and writing speeds. If it's dramatically below( which it appears to be) then obviously it's a faulty drive.
