Well there are certain ads that go by the amount of times it just shows up on the screen. And I have been told that with as much traffic that comes through here it hits the caps pretty fast per month.

No clicky, no monies. Disabling ads doesnt take money out of the hands of the site unless you plan on clicking them. I click no ads therefor I have ad blocking software.

Actually they do give money for views, its just a very small amount.

I didn't even realize OCN has ads. I have OCN as an exception in ABP so I'm guessing NoScript is blocking them because they are flash or something.

By the way OP, the ads on OCN are usually determined by what you've been searching on Google or whatever. If I search gaming, its going to show me gaming ads on OCN.

For me its like TV. I pay the Fing cable company for TV but yet Half my show is ads. Why the F do I pay for TV if I still have to sit through ads. This is why Netflix will > all! If I donate, ads shouldnt be an issue.

I hate ads cause they take up bandwidth (something else to have to load up especially on my phone) and they make you waste time looking for what you want to find. It's kinda like that stupid line that people leave on their replies, "typed with tapatalk" or whatever. My brain continues to read because there are still words. My eyes see multiple things and I automatically look at them. They're a nuisance.

The only ad I ever click on is the rotating newegg ad.
