Fav Cooling brand: Thermalright
Fav Fan brand: Scythe
Hellow to you

CPU Cooling: Thermalright
Case Fan: Yate Loon
LED Color: blue
Noctua / Scythe.

Don't like leds.
thermalright and Xigmatek

then for fans Delta/Panaflo/San Ace
You're just asking about fans, right?

For plain black I like Yate Loons, for LED's I like Antec (that are, for the most part, Yate Loon as well). Color depends on the application. As ordinary as it is, the 1200 and 300 cases I have came with blue LED fans already, so I completed them with more. My next system will probably be green, though..

I buy Yate Loons for general case airflow. But for high CFM use (such as on my radiators) I buy Delta.
HSF: Zalman and Thermalright
Fans: Antec
Coolers: Thermalright or Noctua. I also like Zalman, but from my experience they do not perform as well as the others.

Fans: For case-fans I like Silverstone or Scythe, but for Radiators I like Panaflo 38mm fans.

But in truth, I'm a fan-Ho. I'll use anything that blows.... almost.

I actually stay away from Scythe fans, I had several of them break due to being mounted upside down on my rad, blowing up. It puts extra stess on the sleeve bearing and causes them to break very quickly (within a month)

I buy Delta's cause they're ball bearing and don't have this problem.

Indeed, many feel this way about the the Scythe fans.

But, I have yet to have a problem with them... perhaps I am operating on borrowed time....

And yeah, the Delta's are beasts!

Well I think it's not a problem with ALL the Scythe fans, most likely variances in manufacturing that cause it to occur faster.

I had 2 fans on my rad that were mounted this way. One of them broke after a month when I set a glass of water onto the top of my case. I replaced it, and the fan that I replaced broke a month later as well, when I shifted my case to plug in a cable. The other fan ran fine for 2 months without failing.

I like noctua, thermalright, enermax, enzotech, and some scythe products.

I dislike Zalman and Coolermaster products, with a few exceptions.

I am not a big fan of LEDs.

If you buy Scythe S-flex (my favorite fans btw) they don't have this problem. The problem you're referring to is a product of the sleeve bearing, something used in more than just scythe fans. The slipstream and ultra kaze fans have sleeve bearings. The S-flex fans have fluid dynamic bearings that allow you to use them in any orientation you can think of...

As an FYI, thermalright fans use this same bearing and have almost identical noise characteristics.
