Hey, I bought Tomarso's Live! drive on here and then i got a SB LIVE! from ebay... put them together and you have a platinum. But the catch is... I can't find the drivers. the platinum requires remote center drivers and something else... and on creative's website they only have the updates... not the original programs. And the non-platinum cards don't come w/ the drivers I need. So does anyone know anyplace i can download the drivers?

no, I looked at all those... google was one of the first places I looked after creative's website.
The problem is that you have to have the specific Live! Platinum driver pack to get the drivers and software needed to make the live drive and remote work. I tried the regular drivers off creative's website and they only have the updates to the drivers/programs I need... and they won't install unless you already have a previous version installed... which i don't have.

unfortunately, thats the way creative has operated for quite some time... you have to use the drivers, applications, etc. on the install cd that came with what you bought... then you can download the updates, etc. from their site... they never just host the original install files... :/

the news I posted the other day about their new update is the first time in a while theyve actually hosted the full install files instead of just the updates to the original install files

yeah, i just need to find an image online that I can download or find someone who has the disc and can make me a copy or just send me the image in small increments

I have an old soundblaster live x-gamer, I believe, from about 2002 that I gave to my brother a while ago... he lives on the other side of the country but Ill get a hold of him and get the card details... perhaps you can use the drivers from that cd if it turns out to be a model thats compatible

ty. let me know. Just have him explore the Cd and let you know what specific drivers and software are on the disc. I have a disc for the Live! value, but it doesn' thave the drivers/software I need. I think I might need one specifically from the platinum version
