where should I buy a LCD online?

Alright, so I've narrowed it down to a 1920x1200 samsung (not sure whether I'm going 24 or 26 yet) but i'm curious where you guys would recommend purchasing online?

I have no local computer shops and the nearest bestbuy is even a 30 minute drive. Please don't read that as "best buy is a computer shop."

Are there any online retailers (by the way, i'm in the US) that you would recommend above another? I'm pretty sure I've read that newegg has a pretty bad return policy for dead pixels, etc. Were I to purchase a samsung from newegg and there were dead pixels, would samsung replace it?

anyway, I appreciate any and all input you folks have.

try best buy. you might pay a little bit more, but their return policy isn't as strict as neweggs or other e-tailers. Not to mention they are everywhere so should you have a dead pixel you should be able to get a best buy within reasonable driving distance and exchange it.
Like Aawa said, buying from BestBuy is a good idea when you are looking to buy a large monitor. If there is a problem, then it's much easier to return the product for a new one compared to an online retailer.

I bought my 24" Acer from newegg and it came with no dead pixels or stuck pixels, but I think to return a monitor to newegg it must have 7 or more dead pixels.

newegg requires 8 dead/stuck pixels before you can return the lcd monitor and the OP is wanting a return policy should there be any stuck pixels. Unfortunately most of the trusted e-tailers have similar policies as newegg does when it comes to dead/stuck pixels.

Best bet is probably best buy online store. If you get a dead/stuck pixel and they dont want to RMA it just bring it to a best buy store and exchange it.

I'm checking into bestbuy right now. When I searched for the lcd I was looking for, no one around had it in stock... so that's annoying. Just the same, i'm checking around to see what I can find for bestbuy.

Bestbuy? meh. Frys electronics reigns supreme when it comes to stores/interweb

I want you to know first that I agree with you wholeheartedly.

living in the butt crack of North Carolina doesn't allow much in the way of getting to a Fry's/Microcenter/much other than best buy.

We just recently were upgraded to running water though, so that's a plus.
