I plan on buying a new monitor tonight but I am unsure on which to get. I'm looking for a 22" lcd for at or under $200. Between the two is the Acer or Asus better. They have similar specs but I don't know if Asus is a good monitor brand. Other suggestions are welcome. Any help would be appreciated.

ignore both...get the Hanns-G just my personal preference....or sacrifice 50 more bucks and get the Samsung which is perfect...

Samsung--Hanns-G then Acer and Asus...bottom two have terrible stand adjusting btw.

I have a 19" from them that still works PERFECT no dead pixels after 2.5 years. I just got this new 22" and its just as perfect for a good 6 months now.

The Asus, for sure. My mate owns two of these bad boys in dual monitor set up; they're fantastic! No dead pixels for over a year, the base is very handy. Fantastic contrast and I believe they have a 2ms response time. Take Asus over the Acer any day...

The Acer hands down. I own several different 22" Acer models. If you can spring it get the P series as that's Acers "high end". I've got the P series side by side to the AL series and it's a big difference.

Also Acer's warrenty and RMA service is second to none.
