I have an Altec Lansing 2.1 system that'd I've had for a few years now and it works perfectly fine and it's what I'm used to.

I have the Creative Titanium HD soundcard so I would like to get a really nice 5.1 speaker system for the rig with so many great games coming out (BF3 etc.) in the near future.

Which 5.1 system do you guys recommend?

Can you tell me the name/brand and point me to any reviews of them?

OT: You could pick up these for a gaming 5.1, but i doubt they would be good for music as their "mid-range" is said to be flat, as they need more bass for explosions and such while gaming.

I have my sb fatality pro paired with logitech 540 5.1 and love it-great bass, and very true sound with music, gameing and videos.

judging by your current sig, i would assume your budget isn't really limited so i would look far away from logitech or maybe the z-5500 from them, but if you can afford a quality audio setup some good things to look at are harman and kardon, klipsch, martin logan, etc. Now, that will definitely cost a lot more than most lowend 5.1 sets by say logitech, but if you shelled out for that rig, i would gimp on the audio
