Yeah, I have some input

Try looking for combo deals.....

Biostar board - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...Size=10&page=1

MSI board - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...Size=10&page=1

Gigabyte board - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...Size=10&page=1

These are by CPU....

Phenom II 920 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ize=100&Page=1

Phenom II 940 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ize=100&Page=1

I can personally recommend the Foxconn A79A-S. Amazing board with great BIOS features. It has the world record for OCing the PhII 940, and it comes with a $34 MIR on top of the combo price.
The Asus M4A79-T, the Gigabyte, and the Biostar boards are also great choices.
Now you can afford a 790FX board

They do. They've been shipping with the BIOS that's needed since Dec. / Jan.
